Having worked with MTC Security previously, it was rewarding to see another vehicle transformed from a standard work ute into a powerful marketing asset that will be seen by thousands of potential customers every week. While many people only see the finished result, a premium vehicle wrap involves much more than applying vinyl to the outside of a vehicle. While the finished vehicle may look effortless, achieving a seamless, durable result requires careful attention to detail at every stage. Before installation can begin, the vehicle undergoes a thorough cleaning and preparation process to remove contaminants that can affect adhesion and durability. Components such as mirrors, badges and trim pieces may also be removed where required to achieve a cleaner, more seamless finish. For this project, preparation alone took close to a full day before any graphics were installed. The wrap was then carefully applied using premium [3M wrap](https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/2311248O/3m-wrap-film-2080-maintenance-faqs.pdf) films and laminates. Complex areas such as mirrors, recesses and curved panels require specialist installation techniques to ensure the vinyl conforms correctly and performs over the long term. Even smaller components often require careful stretching and finishing to account for the natural characteristics of the material. Following preparation, the vehicle underwent approximately four days of installation, reassembly and finishing work before a final quality inspection and handover. ## Behind the Wrap From vehicle preparation through to installation, reassembly and final quality checks, this project took approximately four days to complete.
