## To get the most out of your vehicle graphics, following the right aftercare is key. This guide outlines what we recommend to help protect your investment and keep your graphics looking their best.

##### First 72 Hours After Installation

- **DO NOT** wash the vehicle for atleast **72 hours** to allow the adhesive to fully set.
- Avoid heavy rain, automatic car washes, or high-pressure cleaning during this period.

##### Daily/Regular Cleaning

**Hand washing is best -** Treat your wrapped vehicle like a high-end painted car.

##### Recommended Method:

- Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water (low-pressure hose or bucket) to remove loose dirt, dust, road salt, and grime first.
- Use a mild pH-neutral, additive-free car shampoo (no harsh detergents or solvents).
- Wash gently with a soft microfiber cloth, sponge, or mitt. Work in sections.
- Rinse well.
- Dry completely with a clean microfiber towel to prevent water spots.

##### Avoid:

- Automatic car washes with brushes (can scratch, dull, or lift edges).
- High-pressure washers directed at edges/seams.
- Abrasive pads, rough cloths, or scrubbing.
- Harsh chemicals, petroleum-based cleaners, strong acids/alkalis, or solvent-based products.

##### Fuels spills

- Wipe immediately - fuel can degrade the vinyl and adhesive.

##### Spot Cleaning & Stubborn Contaminants

- Tree sap, bird droppings, bugs, tar: Soak with hot soapy water for several minutes, then gently remove. Rinse and dry.
- Fingerprints (especially on matte/satin finishes): Use 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) + 30% water mix on a lint-free cloth. Wipe and dry.
- Mild stains/residues: Try Simple Green® All-purpose cleaner (diluted), followed by IPA mix if needed. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.

##### Pro tip: Dirt and salt act like sandpaper if rubbed in. Always rinse thoroughly before wiping.

##### Storage & Protection

- Park in a garage, shaded area, or under a car cover whenever possible.
- UV exposure and heat are the biggest enemies - they accelerate fading, especially on printed graphics.
- Avoid parking under trees (sap) or near salt spray.

##### Tasmanian Climate Considerations

Tasmania has a cool, temperate maritime climate with high UV exposure (even on cloudy days), frequent rain, wind, and potential coastal salt in some areas. These factors can affect wraps:

- UV & Sun: Promotes fading of printed colours over-time. Park in shade or use a UV-protective car cover when possible. Regular cleaning helps remove pollutants that can worsen UV damage.
- Rain & Moisture: Can cause edge lifting if water gets underneath. Dry the vehicle after heavy rain, especially around seams, doors, and wheel arches.
- Road Salt & Coastal Air: Some Tasmanian areas can have salt exposure. Rinse salt off regularly (especially in winter) to prevent staining or degradation.

##### Recommendation:

Wash more frequently (every1-2 weeks) during wet or salty periods. Consider a quality ceramic coating or sealant compatible with vinyl wraps (test first) for extra UV and water protection.

##### Waxes, Polishes & Protectants (Optional)

- For gloss finishes: You can use approved products like 3M™ Finesse-it™ or certain Meguiar's® carnauba/synthetic waxes (they can cause hazing). Use products specifically designed for matt wraps if you want extra protection. Always test in small area first.

##### Additional Tips for Longevity

- Inspect edges and seams for lifting.
- Minor surface scratches on some finishes can often be improved with gentle heat (do not exceed safe temperatures).
- Heavy commercials use (fleet vehicles): More frequent cleaning is advised.
