Ampol

Back In 2020, Caltex announced a national rebrand that would roll out over a 3-year span. Locally this update would mean a state-wide operation, removing and replacing all existing signage.

  • Client: Coates Group
  • Date: 2020 - 2023

After a lengthy process, Ampol Australia announced they decided to partner with Coates as the national signage provider for the rebranding and reintroduction of over 1,600 Ampol outlets Nationally.

“The opportunity for two fiercely Australian companies to work together is one that you don’t often get. For Coates to work with Ampol, an iconic brand, as it re-emerges into the spotlight is something that we’re incredibly proud of and excited about.”

- Marcus Coates

Think Big was chosen to partner with Coates to roll out the brand update across Tasmania, and has since installed rebranded signage from Caltex to Ampol around the state in over 30 sites.

Glowing Ampol signage has recently been introduced by the Think Big team at MoodFood, Kempton and in New Norfolk. More locations are set to be updated in the months to come, with the complete phase-out of Caltex to be completed by late 2023.

The project included the removal of old Caltex branding and installation of new Ampol signage including - Pylon signs, Electronic price boards, awning cladding, illuminated lettering and lightboxes, shopfront signage, fuel pump spreader signs, internal shop signage and many other requirements.

This extensive rebrand showcases the large-scale, high-quality installations Think Big is equipped and qualified to provide. Working on high-risk sites requires extremely detailed OH&S procedures and highly trained staff. While the majority of the work was providing project management and installation services, the scale and complexity demonstrated our ability to manage large-scale projects with extremely tight deadlines.

Think Big can handle a range of jobs and supply qualified and experienced personnel across multiple channels including design, production and installation.
