LIVING CITY is transforming Devonport through the creation of new retail, business/service and waterfront precincts focused on highlighting the city’s tourism, arts, food and services.
Stage 1 incorporates the impressive new multi-purpose civic building, the paranaple centre, which is home to a state-of-the-art Library, integrated customer service centre including Service Tasmania, a café, Devonport Online, Council offices and an 800-seat conference centre.

The opening of the paranaple centre is the culmination of four years of work by the Devonport City Council and the State Government as part of the Living City transformation of Devonport. The paranaple centre is now home to State Government services including a new state-of-the-art Library and Service Tasmania as part of an integrated customer service centre.
Think Big won the tender to provide all internal and external signage and wayfinding with design company Futago providing the design. The requirement that all external signage be illuminated required custom fabrication from acrylic with energy efficient LED lights for illumination.
